RS81 VHF with integrated loudspeaker
The new RS81 VHF radio offers a uniqe solution
to those boat owners needing multiple stations which are simple
to use and cost effective. Based on the design principles of the
successful RS80 series of system radios, this product is simple
to install as well as being good to look at. The ergonomically
designed handset features a backlit keypad, providing rapid access
to all the features of the VHF. As well as the normal earpiece
speaker, the handset incorporates a conventional loudspeaker. This
eliminates the need for a separate extension loudspeaker, making
the RS81 ideal for the smaller dashboard or helm position.

RS82 dVHF with full class D DSC capability
The Simrad RS82 provides the ideal solution
for those users requiring DSC from the outset. The full function
handset provided with this model gives acces to all the commonly
used DSC calls needed by the yachtsman.The numeric keypad makes
sending routine call as simple as making a normal telephone call,
while the MMSI directory makes calling frequently contacted boats
easy. The Simrad Network, SimNet, is fitted as standard allowing
simple connection to a Simrad plotter for the input of position
data. If a distress call is made, the position will be automatically
sent to the rescue authority, dramatically improving your chance
of being rescued. With iDSC functionality incoming DSC messages
are automatically displayed on your Simrad chartplotter.
